Meet Dr. Lawther

Pamela Lawther, DVM

Pamela Lawther, DVM, is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal care and client education. She completed her veterinary education at St. George’s University, followed by her clinical training at the University of Tennessee. After becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, Dr. Lawther returned to North Carolina, where she now serves her community as both a clinician and the founder of Brightside Animal Hospital.

In addition to practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Lawther has served as Chapter President and as a Regional Leader of the Veterinary Business Management Association. Her experience led her to VetPartners, an organization she credits as a key influence in her professional growth.

Dr. Lawther is committed to strengthening the bond between humans and animals through high-quality, affordable medical care and clear, compassionate communication. She believes in building lasting relationships with clients and empowering pet owners to make informed decisions about their pets’ health.

A dedicated mentor, Dr. Lawther is passionate about supporting fellow veterinarians and giving back to the profession that has shaped her career. She strives to foster growth, collaboration, and positive change within the veterinary community.

Outside of work, she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes horseback riding, hiking with her dogs, and snowboarding. She also loves Pilates, cooking, gardening, and traveling with her husband.
